This is Marble the Cat! Anyone remember him? (hint --> [link] )
I love the way this one turned out! My favorite parts are his left hand, his hair, his ears, and his feet. And the shading turned out nice, too... I'm not too proud of the way his shoulders/torso turned out, though...
I did the background like that because, if you've known me for awhile, that's how ALL my backgrounds looked. Seriously. From this ( [link] ) devation to this ( [link] ) devation, 99.5% of all my devations had that background. Just see for yourself...
Well, if there was more I wanted to say, I forgot.
I've got another devation coming very soon! This'll be the first time I've submitted two devations in a day in MONTHS!!!
Pretty! You've improved a LOT since last year, haven't you? ^^
I can see what you mean about the shoulders and chest, though... His right shoulder seems to be positioned lower than the left one? Why is that? The only problem with the chest seems to be that it's a bit too... Flat.
To me, it looks kinda like if you could see through his hood that his shoulders would be too wide. Kind of... Something just looks kinda wrong... With the positions of the shoulders, his left shoulder is suppose to be higher because he's kinda raising it up. If you try to get into the pose yourself, then the shoulder of the arm that's bent is raised slightly if you hold your elbow up high enough. His right shoulder is relaxed.
For the line art, I sketch the lines because I can't draw on tablet very well AT ALL, then I use the Pen Tool with a tablet's pen pressure to make the lines smooth and neat.
I'm planning to do a tutorial on how I do it, but looking at my schedual and To-Do list now, it's sounding like a project slightly off into the future...
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant.
