Hey guys!
I'm just passing around the phishing warning. What's believed to be a group of hackers are going around sending messages such as, "
LOL everyone should see this ... it's HILARIOUS just Click here" or "
Hi take the free IQ QUIZ! I just found out mine. CLICK HERE" The links send you to what looks like a deviantART sign-in page, but it'll actually read your sign-in information and send it to the hackers. If you enter your information
CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD AND FAST!I've gotten several of these messages. Some of which were from my friends' accounts such as

=
Darksign90 and other artists I admire like

~
QTStartheHedgehog have been hacked. It's really freaking me out. That's why I'm spreading the word.
It's a good idea to report these messages as spam so that it brings them to admins' attention. For more tips and information, I've found some good news articles:

Even in the depths of hell...
blooms a beautiful flower of friendship...
leaving it's pedals as mementos...
bobbing back and forth on the waves...
may it one day bloom once more...

i know that there are ways of overriding that, and blah blah. but that's just one simple way to tell for people who dont want to spend much time watching out what kind of link they are pressing.
the best way to avoid being fished is:
never log into a website that you didn't type in the address yourself, or click it from your bookmarks, or have it as your home page. if you come across somewhere that wants you to sign into a website that you are a member of, and you're not sure if it is legit, just manually type in the address of the page you want to log into, and then press back until you get to where you were that asked you to log in, then hit refresh.
also, if you have already logged into a web page, and you click a link and it asks you to sign in again, dont do it. the only reason a website will ever log you out automatically is if you
a. exit the WINDOW. if you exit the tab, and reopen it in the SAME window, you will still be logged in.
b. if your session times out (which will probably be a very long time. it's hardly ever anything like 5 or 10 minutes. i have accidentally kept a page up for many hours and it never logged me out).
c. or if you click "log out"
so, basically, if you are ever prompted to log into a website, only do it if you got to that login page on purpose.
